Crysis 3 Teaser (Trailer to follow on april24th)

Written by igcompany on Friday, 20 April 2012 15:47.

Just a few days after we announced that Crysis 3 is in development and that it will be released during the next spring EA released a teaser trailer simultaneous with Konami's teaser of PES 2013 and following the same strategy: releasing the official trailer for the game 4 days later, on april 24th.

Gamers will be pretty busy these days because they will get their eyes on two of the best games to be released in the following period. Also in may we are waiting the release of Max Payne 3.

Back to Crysis 3

As we have seen on the cover of Crysis 3, it seems that the main weapon in the game will be a bow. We will find out more from the gameplay trailer that is going to be released on april 24th and much more at E3.

Crysis 3

Will amaze us again with the graphics. CryEngine 3.4 just has been released and will strongly contribute at the development of Crysis 3. As i mentioned in an article earlier, Crysis 2 still has the best graphics in the gaming industry and the next Crysis will only improve them. For me it was pretty boring but that just because it was too close to the real world.
Crysis 3 will be set in New York just as the pervious one. So i hope EA and Crytek will do something about the graphics to make them look even more realistic but be less boring.

Enough talking! Let's see the short teaser which announces the official gameplay trailer on april 24th:

I almost forgot. I still have to mention that it will be released on the following platforms: Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

PES 2013 Cristiano Ronaldo Teaser

Written by igcompany on Friday, 20 April 2012 14:28.

Konami released the first teaser for PES 2013. It may seem pretty fast for some of you. EA didn't release any informations about FIFA 13 and maybe that's how Konami tries to make more fans.

Just a few hours before the teaser release, Pro Evolution Soccer's official Facebook fan page announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will join them soon. They didn't say in any way how he will join.

PES 2013 Official Teaser

And here it is the first teaser for Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 featuring Cristiano Ronaldo:

More info about PES 2013

In the last seconds of the clip you can see Konami announcing an official trailer for PES 2013. We should expect it on april 24th. Many more informations we should see at E3 which is less than 2 months away (the E3 will also be close to the EURO 2012 tournament, hello soccer fans).

PES 2013 should be a good competitor for EA's FIFA 2013.

Lionel Messi has been featured on the cover of Pro Evolution Soccer for a few editions but he now signed with EA to promote FIFA Street. So it's Messi (EA Sports) vs Ronaldo (Konami).

Of course this is just a teaser which announces the real deal which should be released on april 24th. We should expect PES 2013 to be released this fall.

Are the PC users missing the Madden NFL franchise?

Are the PC users missing the Madden NFL franchise?

There are almost 5 years since the last Madden NFL (Madden NFL 08) has been released on PC. From my perspective i still miss this franchise on PC. I really enjoyed the last one. It was the best from the whole series and we really need this game back on PC.

Unfortunately EA and other big game companies are deciding that the piracy is stealing a lot of money from them and they often end up with poor sales.

The game has grown a lot since then. Many features have been introduced and people are enjoying playing it on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, chatting with their friends and establishing new tactics.

Of course that's possible for EA to do it as well for the PC version of Madden NFL but their are pretty much 'playing' with a big - in the PC gaming industry so they are making more and more games for consoles where they get more profit. Another example of cancelled games on PC are NHL and NBA Live.

The FIFA series still makes the highest sales and PC users can stay chill or at least for a while.

Madden NFL 13

Still no news if the next Madden NFL will be featured on PC but EA feels no stress about this and chooses the player that will featured on the cover of Madden NFL 13:

They set a record of sales with Madden NFL 12 so at least not for the next year we will not see unfortunately this great game on PC. This is somehow a free promotion for console manufacturers since i know a lot of people willing or who already bought a console just to play a specific game.

When GTA IV everybody was freaked out that it won't come on PC as well so they bought consoles just to play that game. Few months later the game came out on PC but Rockstar kept the secret well.

We will wait and maybe we will get again these sports games on PC again. So less piracy!

Are you missing the Madden NFL franchise on PC?

Crysis 3 to be released in 2013

Written by igcompany on Monday, 16 April 2012 19:08.

What? Did you think that after it's huge success we won't see another one? EA released some new updates on Crysis 3. I'm pretty excited about this. Even though after finishing Crysis 2, for me it wasn't as good as the first one, i can't wait to see what CryTek's technology will be capable of.

In my opinion Crysis 2 had the best graphics (and still has in the whole gaming industry).

The story in Crysis 3 seems to be almost the same as in the last game, you will have to bring down Cell Corporation's plans of domination. The same city - New York set in 2047. Some new technologies and a new nano suit will be available.

EA already presented the PC cover for Crysis 3:

Crysis 3 PC Cover

The cover already shows how the main weapon will look like. But what does that mean? Will Crysis 3 be more tactical than the pervious ones? We may see a more silent assassin and a much harder game.

In Crysis 2 i had to empty a whole charger so i can eventualy get rid of only one creature. But i 'developed' my own tactic and cloacked until i got beside the alien. Then i was simply pressing a button and the character was doing the dirty work. I strongly believe that in Crysis 3 we will have to do this thing more often.

So as the title says no more waiting (at least not in terms of looking for the release date) ... Crysis 3 is coming out in the spring of 2013 for PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Anyone thinking that we will play Crysis 4 on Playstation 4 and Xbox 720?

You can already place a pre-order and you will get the hunter edition for no extra charge, which is pretty normal since there will be around one year until Crysis 3 will be released.

The other editions of the game as EA states:

  • Stalker Pack – Includes the base game, all Hunter Edition content and the following early multiplayer unlocks: For players who like to stalk their prey from the shadows, the Stalker Pack provides early multiplayer access to the deadly semi-auto Jackal shotgun. This powerful, close-range shotgun comes with a unique silencer attachment, custom weapon skin, and two exclusive themed in-game dog tags.
  • Overkill Pack – Includes the base game, all Hunter Edition content and the following early multiplayer unlocks: The Overkill Pack features early multiplayer access to the Typhoon assault weapon and skin. Spewing 500 rounds a second, the Typhoon gives players the ability to go guns blazing to take back the Liberty Dome. Also included are two exclusive Overkill themed in-game dog tags.
  • Predator Pack – Includes the base game, all the Hunter Edition content and the following early multiplayer unlocks: The Predator Pack delivers early multiplayer access to the Feline submachine gun and exclusive camo. With an extremely fast rate of fire and a 60-round magazine, the Feline is highly effective and deadly at short range.
  • We will have to wait a lot but hey, it's pretty good that EA finally released an article stating that they are going to release a game, one year before doing so. We still wait for game developers to take full advantage of the Xbox 360 Kinect and make us feel the real power of the nano suit in our living room.

    CryEngine 3.4 Unveiled: Trailer

Written by igcompany on Sunday, 15 April 2012 18:03.

The CryEngine did wonders with the Crysis series. Crysis has with no doubts the best graphics in the gaming industry, even though this makes it pretty boring in my opinion because it's too close to the real world.

The meaning of the video games is to give you the sensation that you are playing a video game. Right?

Anyway let's stick to the new CryEngine. The new CryEngine 3.4 has been unveiled in a trailer by the Crytek studios based in Frankfurt, Germany. Here is the press release:

Crytek Places More Power at Developers’ Fingertips with the Arrival of the next free CryENGINE 3 SDK Update

Frankfurt (Germany) ,April 13, 2012 – Further increasing the creative power at developers’ fingertips, Crytek today announced the arrival of a feature-filled update to its award-winning game development solution, CryENGINE 3. The CryENGINE 3 SDK now presents users with brand new tools to tap into, including revamped DirectX 11 tessellation, advanced character rendering options, improved AI system and much more.

Among the key enhancements free CryENGINE 3 SDK users can look forward to in version 3.4 are:

    · Revamped DirectX 11 Tessellation
DX11 support and tessellation has come a long way since Crysis 2. Phong, PN triangles and displacement maps, along with no need for pre-tessellated assets, makes CryENGINE's DX11 support among the best in the industry.

    · Multi-layer Navigation Mesh
The multi-layer navigation is a powerful new and easy-to-use navigation system that AI agents utilize to path-find through game maps.

    · Improved Skin Rendering and Eye Shader
New scattering approach gives more realistic rendering with fewer artifacts. New settings, checkboxes and sliders for things like oiliness, iris control, colors, pupil dilatation, tessellation and parallax support make CryENGINE character rendering more advanced and customizable than ever before.

    · Advanced/Improved/Extended Glass Shader
The glass shader is a specialized tool for rendering glass-based surfaces. It can represent a wide range of glass types, including regular windows, stained glass, leaded glass, beveled glass, some crystal types and some types of transparent plastics as well. The improved glass shader now also boasts features such as a dirt layer designed to produce extremely realistic-looking glass surfaces complete with dust and dirt, differential fog and refractionblur.

On top of these key updates, version 3.4 of the free CryENGINE 3 SDK addresses a number of bugs from previous releases and gives developers access to further improvements that include:

    - Improved glass rendering
    - Geometric light beams
    - Point light shafts
    - Time of day based filmic HDR tone mapping
    - Curves and key tangents for time of day
    - User controlled per cascade shadow bias through time of day
    - Improved transitions between levels of detail
    - Volumetric fog features extended and improved
    - Improved distance cloud shading

The game developers have something new to play with now. Let's hope they will do a good job just like they did with the pervious versions of the CryEngine.
