Game Information

After the long wait and two awesome card-based Metal Gear games, PSP owners finally get the game they have been crying out for. A brand new storyline, created especially for the PSP means that players will be able to bridge the gap between Metal Gear Solid 3 and earlier games in the series, learning more about the characters and enemies along the way.

The single player mode follows the story after MGS3, and depicts the creation of FOXHOUND by Big Boss as he attempts to hunt down the treacherous FOX unit, which has started a revolt in South America. Set in 1970, players will learn more about returning characters such as Para-Medic, Major Zero and Sigint and also witness Big Boss? greatest tragedy that sets into motion the events of later games in the timeline.

The new third person camera angle will enable players to see more of their surroundings and quickly identify threats, without diminishing from the tension and action the Metal Gear games are renowned for. Players will be able to recruit and assemble a fighting force along the way, including unique non-playable characters who bring special abilities to your team, enabling you to customize a squad to fit your exact gameplaying style.

If that isn?t enough, you can also transfer this squad into the online mode and take them into multiplayer battles using the PSP?s wireless functions. You can also trade characters with other users online to add even more individuality to your clan. Players can compete in online death matches and also make use of the new ?White Flag? system, where players can surrender and keep their character for the next stage rather than a fight to the bitter end.
