Game Information

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH is bringing its classic GTI Club racing franchise to Wii, in the form of GTI Club Supermini Festa!

GTI Club Supermini Festa! is based on the latest arcade iteration of the long-running series, and charges the player with racing a series of compact cars around a series of citiscapes across France, the UK, Italy, the US, and Japan. Everything about the game is geared towards searing speed and intuitive handling, with players tussling with CPU-controlled cars or their friends through busy streets as they attempt to be the first past the winning line.

Every stage has been designed for total freedom, with secret short cuts to find and steep hills and hairpin bends designed to test the player's skill. Control is everything, and the Wii game enjoys beautifully balanced control systems that allow users to slide deftly around corners, whiz through extremely tight alleyways to bypass the other cars, and perform handbrake turns to shave vital seconds from lap times. In addition to the twelve cars from the arcade version, Konami is planning to add four more licensed cars to the mix, each offering different handling and acceleration balance.

GTI Club Supermini Festa! offers two key solo options, with Arcade offering a straight replication of the coin-op, while the new GTI Quest is a tour of the world, with a series of key objectives. Multi-player elements also play a massive part in the game, with the arcade game's four-player mode faithfully recreated via a split-screen mode and online via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection's online capabilities. Online, the game can be played as either a straight racer or as a series of fun sub-games including Bomb Tag and football.

Everything about GTI Club Supermini Festa! has been designed to give the player a feeling of sheer speed and total control, and users can also add a personal touch to their car via the extensive customisation features in the game's Garage section.

DancingStage fans eagerly awaiting a Wii version can now rest at ease as their wish has finally been granted. Featuring 50 tracks spanning some four decades of music, there?s a huge variety of tunes for players to strut their stuff to.

Thanks to the compatibility of the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, a whole new dimension has been added to DancingStage Hottest Party. Total body interaction is now possible during the game using the twin controllers and it is now possible to have four player simultaneous play to really get everyone involved. It is also possible to send obstacles to rival players in the Battle Mode using the Wii Remote and a well placed swipe!

There are a host of new modes focusing on the multiplayer element to ensure that the DancingStage experience stays fresh for many months to come. New gameplay twists and a host of entertaining mini games complement the main dancing action and offer a different challenge to expert players. The phenomenally popular Workout Mode from other versions of DancingStage is also here again.

With only half of the songs available at the start, the emphasis is on the players to practice and perfect their skills as there are a huge amount of unlockable bonuses in the game from the extra songs through to new computer player challenges and new outfits.

The world is in danger! A huge meteor is plummeting towards earth and the only way to save the planet from destruction is to earn enough money to purchase the anti-meteor gadgets from a TV shopping channel! This bizarre storyline is the basis for Job Island: Hard Working People, a quirky and brilliantly entertaining title featuring 50 mini games that must be finished to earn the money to save the word! However, players must perform better than the other workers in order to succeed!

Each of the 50 mini games are in fact jobs players must undertake successfully in order to earn money. These jobs range from the simple to the ridiculous and all make use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in ways players would never have thought possible.

As a red carpet interviewer for example, the player runs around the celebrity laden carpet waiting for them to give interviews. If you get their first and bag the big star, you earn more money! Managing a BBQ grill players must twist the skewers of meat using the Wii Remote to prevent them from burning and as farmer you must harvest carrots as quickly as possible and also milk a cow!  Each job requires skill and concentration to complete and will test all gamers, regardless of their skills!

With three levels of difficulty and a multiplayer mode that allows two people to go head to head on any of the jobs that are available in a straight heads-up duel, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained and amused.

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced its first Wii Balance Board-compatible title. Marbles! Balance Challenge has been devised by Hudson Soft and will be released for Wii in April, 2009.

Marbles! Balance Challenge is a skill-based action title where the player helps an Ant called Anthony save his colony via a series of physical tests. Wii Balance Board users can access Marbles! Balance Challenge?s 100 specially-created stages where the players steer a ball using the shifting weight of their physical movements. This unique way to control the game offers a new experience and combines fun and physical exercise. Players can also use gentle movements of the Wii Remote, with steering the ball through 200 different stages in a quest to locate the mythical ?Golden Sunflower Seed.?

As the player progresses the level designs grow ever more complex as they introduce houses, snow-capped mountains, deserts, watery settings and even a space station. In addition to rolling through the colourful stages, the player must also collate parts needed to extend and repair the roads they traverse, which ? when assembled ? give access to the game?s final stage. Similarly, other items of ephemera can be collected and used to add new elements within the extensive edit mode.

Marbles! Balance Challenge includes tough multi-player modes where up to four players battle it out in a race to the finish, and an edit mode that allows users to create their own stages and share them among friends via the Nintendo Wii Connect24 service. The competitive element of the game can also be explored globally, with online leaderboards detailing the best scores for all to see.
