Final Fantasy XIV ONLINE is set be a Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO). The game takes place on a world called Eorzea. Eorzea will have an aesthetic blend of sci-fi and classic fantasy elements. The already announced languages of the game will be: English, Japanese, French and German.
The battle and job system will be different than the ones in the game Final Fantasy XI, which utilized experience points. Group play has been de-emphasized. Both solo- and Group play have been balanced. The Official North American FFXIV ONLINE website has recently been updated: By wielding different weapons and even crafting tools, players will be able to take on the role of their choosing such as Gladiator or Thaumaturge. In general, the different roles are divided into four disciplines: Disciples of War (masters of combat arms), Disciples of Magic (self-explanatory), Disciples of the Land (gatherers of material resources and students of the natural order), and Disciples of the Hand (crafters who invest their creative ingenuity in synthesis and industry).

Plot of the game
Eorzea's Nations used to be in a constant war with eachother until fifteen years ago when the Garlean Empire, a mysterious Nation from the east razed the mightiest of the city-states: Ala Mhigo. The Nations decided to become allies to drive the enemy out of their lands, but the Empire never came,
Characters (Races)There are five confirmed characters/races so far:
-Elezen: An elf-like race and the original inhabitants of Eorzea.
-Lalafell: Tiny humanoids of high agility and intelligence from the southern regions.
-Roegadyn: A large race who are a seafaring folk from the northern regions.
-Miqo'te: Cat-like humanoids divided by two groups: the Seekers of the Sun and the Keepers of the Moon.

The game is set to be released somewhere in 2010. The possible languages will be: English, Japanese, French and German.The game will be available on Playstation® 3 and PC (Xbox360 not (yet) announced?).

Here are some features of the upcoming game as presented by Konami:
- Introducing Transcendent Visuals - PES will offer drastic improvements in license content, stadium atmospheres, player likenesses all the way down to the specific moves of the real life players. When you play as Messi, it will be like Messi is playing.
- Evolution of Intelligence - PES will draw upon the real life excitement of soccer which relies heavily on intelligent defenses and offensive schemes. The AI is redone and will feature Teamvision 2.0 for a more formidable opponent. It will also help your offense to build attacks or to close down your opponents attacks. Gamers will be able to execute orchestrated attacks and defenses which involve multiple players at the same time.
- The Power of Choice - In addition to the UEFA Champions League mode, players will have more choices than ever. They can choose any of the modes including an enhanced Master League mode enabling players to create and manage their team for a longer period of time. In addition there will be multiple cups to play for and an edit mode to further personify your team.
- Online Reinvented - A new dedicated section of the PES production team is committed to improving the online side of PES 2010. More downloadable content is also planned. Konami has supported PES 2009 with the release of new licensed teams, transfer updates, etc, and this support will grow for PES 2010. Team and content updates are planned throughout the game’s lifespan. These will make the game even more bespoke to the player’s match day needs.'
